Quotes
“A song does not exist until it is sung, or re-created, by a human voice… The song doesn’t live until it comes off of the page and resumes its natural state as sound.”
— Alice Parker
“There are ideas, insights and experiences which only sound can communicate, others only communicated by movement, others which only color and line can capture. This is why the arts offer insight into God, each other, and ourselves which can be offered in no other way.”
— Judith Rock
“Through music, we transcend our everyday circumstances. We find solace for our souls, companionship for the journey, and we touch the eternal spirit, uniting all that is. Playing music is sacred work.”
